The beverage industry is showing signs of strong dynamism and our participation in the recent Bangkok conference, Asia CanTech 2023, confirmed this vitality. Thanks to this event, we were able to collect information on market trends and new products, as well as bring to the attention of conference participants our own experiences in the beverage sector, an arena in which we have been active since 1990. The focus of the 2-day event was eco-sustainability and energy saving: a real wake-up call for producers of aluminium beverages and aerosol cans on their impact on the environment as a consequence of the production process of these containers. Great attention is being paid to the circular economy and the recycling of aluminium, an issue still not perceived as a real resource in many countries. The commitment that IMF Engineering is also promoting is raising awareness of the opportunity to recover aluminium, a material that can be recycled practically indefinitely.
