Since 1977, IMF Engineering has been the technology partner beverage can and aerosol container manufacturers turn to when standard equipment just won’t cut it.

Our washing, drying, curing and coating systems for aluminium and steel packaging are never off-the-shelf. Every solution is engineered around the specific production needs of the customer in front of us – because reliability, efficiency and sustainability aren’t buzzwords, they’re the brief.
Nearly five decades later, that philosophy hasn’t changed. What has changed is the scale: today we support manufacturers across international markets, helping them cut costs, lift quality, and meet environmental standards that get tougher every year.

Through Netech we have joined forces with two outstanding partners, SPL Soluzioni and Montoli Giuseppe, to design and build complete production lines for metal packaging.

We visited PaintExpo and had a truly positive experience: a vibrant, well-organized trade fair with excellent usability, even with a high number of visitors.

We had the opportunity to develop several connections in the industrial coating sector, experiencing strong enthusiasm for new techniques and innovations shaping the industry. Coating clearly shows its many “faces” – a field rich in possibilities and innovations, capable of adapting to a wide range of needs and applications. A highly cross-sector environment, with applications spanning multiple industries, especially automotive and metal packaging, in our case.

As expected, there was a strong presence of German manufacturers, alongside a broad international participation, confirming the global importance of the event.

Italian-made excellence in Drum Painting!

The Italian industry confirms its leadership in manufacturing with our #drumcoating plant that is redefining the game: with a productivity of up to 600 pieces per hour, it is set to revolutionize the domestic market.

But what makes it so extraordinary? IMF Engineering’s ability to design and build coating plants that use both water-based and solvent-based paints, ensuring impeccable finishing on every surface of the drum. Our plant ensures outer finishing, protecting the drum from adverse environmental conditions and usage, thus extending its service life, and internal #functionalcoating, which protects against the potential corrosive action of the contents, preserving its quality and structural integrity.

That’s not all: our plant can treat the exhaust fumes by applying Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO), post-combustion technology for safe management of the air purification process and to achieve greater energy efficiency, essential for the entire #paintingindustry, especially when high volumes of pieces with a large surface area are painted. All of this not only shows IMF Engineering’s concrete commitment to environmental sustainability but also ensures that drums are painted according to the highest standards of finishing quality.

This plant, which we’ll complete in 2024, is designed to handle drums of various shapes and sizes, cylindrical and conical: a flexibility that makes it ideal to meet the demands of drum manufacturers for a wide range of industries, from food production to petrochemicals.
